Classical Ballet is strongly focused on technique which serves as a good foundation for all other Dance Genres. In our dance school we follow and teach the Vaganova Method, which is a style of ballet instruction developed by Russian ballerina Agrippina Vaganova. It involves gradually introducing students to dance techniques that will later be used in performance. Training is progressive and works on building strength and flexibility while minimizing chance of any injury. Vaganova method is now recognized as the foremost training method and syllabus of the classical ballet in all over the world.

SALSA
Salsa is a Latin dance, associated with the music genre of the same name, which was first popularized in the United States in the 1960s in New York City. Salsa is an energetic and fun partner dance. Unlike some partner dances, it is a very sociable dance – you don’t need to have a regular partner. In fact, it is common for salseros to dance with people they have never met before. That’s part of the fun of dancing Salsa. With it’s sociable nature, Salsa has become highly popular, all around the world. Over the years many different styles of salsa dancing have evolved around the world. Many of them are compatible with each other, but others are different enough to make dancing between dancers of different styles difficult.
Salsa New York style (on 2)
“On 2” style salsa originated in New York and is often referred to as New York style. It is a linear form of salsa, where dancers dance in a slot, similar to LA style salsa. Unlike other styles of salsa, however, New York style is danced on the second beat of the music ("on 2"), and the follower, not the leader, steps forward on the first measure of the music. New York style salsa emphasizes harmony with the percussive instruments in salsa music, such as the congas, timbales, and clave, since many or all of those instruments often mark the second beat in the music.
In our dance school we teach extensively the NY Style since it has become the most popular style of salsa around the world!! We give a lot of emphasis in teaching the right technique of leading and following, in rhythm, musicality and everything it is needed to transform our students to complete dancers!
From improvers, intermediate to advance level the classes offer a variety of partner work sequences that men can use at the social parties and the ladies that take the classes will be able to follow every social move!
L.A. Style (Los Angeles)
Los Angeles style salsa (LA style) is danced "on 1" where dancers break forward on the first beat of the music, in contrast to New York style which is danced on 2. LA style salsa is danced in a line or "slot" with dancers exchanging positions throughout the dance, unlike Cuban salsa which is danced in a more circular fashion.
Our dance school also offers classes for all the ‘on 1’ salsa dancers and provides them with all the necessary knowledge and extra tips to become a complete salsa dancer!!
